Our Story

Precision Cargo Logistics was founded in 2015.  Its goal to provide “Excellence and service to our customers” in the freight and Logistics Industry.  With an amazing team of Industry veterans and an established client base, Precision Cargo sought to expand its already wide variety of services and solutions.  Precision Cargo already boasted many specialist verticals in the freight industry, providing exclusive Next Flight Out services to LTL Services and Ocean services.

Precision soon established a strong reputation for pursuing excellence and grew its Film Production services, and International services.  With the move to a state of the art facility in Rancho Dominguez, 20,000 sq. ft. warehousing with docks and racks expanded our warehousing and distribution services we soon became a class “A” Amazon FBA support service provider.

Over the past couple of years Precision has continued to grow with the expansion of multiple 26’ft Bob Tail trucks and Sprinter vans offering services to our many varied customers, and continuing to offer an ever growing variety of service options and logistical solutions to the ever growing market needs.

Meet Our Precision Cargo Logistics Team…..

David Battye

Founder & CEO

David brings over 35 years of industry experience to the company, starting as a dispatch rider in London, he spent 8 years with Federal Express in the UK, earning 2 “Bravo Zulu”s for services above and beyond. 

David spent 2 years servicing the Formula One Racing teams as a freight forwarder at many of the race circuits around the world, before settling down with Marken Intl courier company based in London.  In 1994 David moved to Los Angeles to head up the operations for Marken in their new office.

In 1998 David started Access Worldwide Express, a company based in Los Angeles with one employee and a small pickup truck.  20 years later the company has been renamed as Precision Cargo and has expended to over 18 employees and a fleet of vans and trucks servicing local, domestic and International clients.  3 Years ago we joined forces with Platinum Cargo and represent their LA Operation in a 15 office network.  “This is an amazing partnership that works well for both companies and the many clients we both serve” says David

David is a graduate of London College, with a degree in psychology and Business studies. 

David lives in Redondo Beach, married and the proud father of high school Triplets.  When hes not working, he enjoys playing Golf, leading a large Boy Scout Troop and time traveling with his best friend… His wife Connie.

Juan Valle

Station Manager

Juan Valle is a 20 year veteran of the Freight industry.  Before joining our team Juan has worked with the airlines as a ramp supervisor at the airport.  Juan has spent many years honing his skills and understanding of the trucking industry, airfreight and International services.

Juan specialty is “Special Projects” and heads up a team providing services to high tech manufacturing companies to create logistics and installation solutions requiring special handling and additional services.

Juan is our Station Manager, overseeing the day to day running of the operation, dispatch and sales team.

 Juan is married, with 3 children, and enjoys, playing softball, cooking and spending time with his family and his 2 beloved dogs.

Juan says;

Gabriel Navarro

Senior VP Of Sales

Gabriel has been with Precision Cargo since the beginning and is a veteran of the industry with over 25 years of experience in both operations, sales and management.  Gabriel’s extensive knowledge of the industry as it continues to change and developed helps him to keep his clients aware of new shipping solutions and cost effective options as the main focus of his sales and customer service.

Prior to working with Precision Cargo, Gabriel headed the operations for Adcom Worldwide for over 10 years and developed a domestic trucking and Air service for the company.

Gabriel is married with 2 children and enjoys spending his time with his family and taking his son to Golf Tournaments

Gabriel says;

“Customer care, is a lost art, if you care about the clients freight as if it was your own shipment, you will always be able to relate to the customer and seek  to create a solution to any problem.”

 

 

Dexter Kekauoha

Operations Manager
Ocean Imports, Dispatch Manager

Dexter has been a valuable part of our team since the beginning of the company, working his way through the ranks from general operations to become our Operations Manager, heading up a dedicated team in our warehouse and our drivers.

Dexter also heads up our Ocean import team, supervising the smooth process of imports of LCL and FCL shipments.  With over 15 years of experience in the industry starting with FedEx and working through many different aspects of operations.  His vast working knowledge and easy manner keeps our team well organized and our carriers and vendors fully integrated to our service goals.

We are all extremely proud that Dexter succeeded to the rank of “Eagle Scout” as a member of the Boy Scouts.

Dexter is happily married with 2 small children, and spends his time with his large family.

David Dinardo

Operations-International
International Air-Imports And Export

David has over 14 years of experience in the freight and logistics industry, from a transport manager with Coremark to a dispatcher with local courier companies.  David was  with the our company from the beginning and brought 10 years of experience with Adcom Worldwide as the international freight manager. David is well loved and respected by all of his customers, he has built an amazing level of trust with all of his clients who enjoy his humor, candor and amazing work ethic.

David’s knowledge and experience helps him to provide you with freight solutions that are creative, and often provide alternatives that service the clients needs and budgets.  his knowledge of the requirements for importation and his close work with our brokerage department provides many customers with seamless and easy processes to what many view as a scary and difficult aspect of international shipping.

David lives in San Pedro, and enjoys time with friends and successfully involving himself in Fantasy football leagues.

David says;

“I love the process of International freight.. No shipment is ever the same… It means I have to create a solution for reach shipment and each customers needs”

 

Randy Hendrix

Operations
Domestic FCL, LCL, and Ground Services & Special Projects

Randy has been a an amazing addition to our team over the past 3 years, and brings with him an depth of experience in the ground and trucking service industry.  Before joining our team, Randy worked with carriers, brokers and trucking companies servicing the freight and manufacturing industry.

Randy’s knowledge and relationships with the trucking brokers, carriers and independent trucking and LTL carriers allows him to represent our customers directly, making sure that freight is handled correctly, deliveries are made on time and costs are kept to a minimum.  His resourcefulness is almost legendary!!  Randy often works closely with many charity organizations to assist in disaster relief and provide logistics to assist in getting assistance where it is needed in a timely manner.

Recently the charity organization Baby 2 Baby stated; “Randy is our Go To Guy, he always comes through when we need urgent solutions… Randy always comes through”…

Randy is a veteran of the Navy, and lives in Huntington Beach and cares for his Daughter who is an aspiring and talented artist.

“There is nothing difficult about what we do”, says Randy… “We just need to always make sure we see it through to the final delivery, and provide excellence as a standard service”
